Duck & Waffle – London’s highest bottomless brunch

The iconic restaurant in question, Duck & Waffle, is on the 40th floor of 110 Bishopsgate (Heron Tower), set in the heart of the city and serving up the best views of London that it is possible to get unless you can fly/are in a helicopter. Aside from showstopping views, the restaurant serves what it calls a ‘playful’ take on British cuisine with European influences, with a menu that is designed for sharing and sampling (right up my street).

Pastaio, Soho

Before lockdown 2.0 stole our freedom like a thief in the night, I had the pleasure of being invited to review Pastaio in Soho. Pastaio, (meaning someone who hand makes pasta), is the brainchild of Stevie Parle, a British chef, restauranteur and food writer whose other projects include Palatino and Craft. Flour & Flowers is on Hackney Road and is a new business that seriously deserves your immediate support (and you can thank […]

Yauatcha City, Broadgate Circle

In August, with the help of Rishi Sunak, I finally tried the food at Yauatcha. I have been to Yauatcha Soho a few times for drinks but bizarrely never actually eaten there so I was really excited. I have been to the fantastic sister restaurant Hakkasan and was totally blown away, you can read my […]

Rosa’s Thai Cafe, Carnaby

Okay so I don’t know if this is just me (let me know in the comments below), but as it starts getting colder and getting darker earlier, I start really craving warming spicy foods with more complexity than the burgers and pizza I’ve been consuming my bodyweight of over the summer. So when I was […]

Indulgent Mississippi Mud Pie

This is the indulgent dessert to end all indulgent desserts, I guarantee you will not be disappointed (provided you’re a fellow chocoholic). Starting at the bottom with a dark buttery Oreo biscuit base, moving up to a beautiful flourless chocolate fudge cake layer, topped with a smooth and rich chocolate pudding which in turn is […]
