Duck & Waffle – London’s highest bottomless brunch

The iconic restaurant in question, Duck & Waffle, is on the 40th floor of 110 Bishopsgate (Heron Tower), set in the heart of the city and serving up the best views of London that it is possible to get unless you can fly/are in a helicopter. Aside from showstopping views, the restaurant serves what it calls a ‘playful’ take on British cuisine with European influences, with a menu that is designed for sharing and sampling (right up my street).

14 Hills, Fenchurch Street

If you haven’t already seen 14 Hills all over Instagram then you will be booking your next girls night, brunch, or birthday here once I’ve told you a bit more about it – just you wait! I recently (ish) went to the jaw-droppingly gorgeous 14 Hills with some equally gorgeous foodies that you must check […]

Pastaio, Soho

Before lockdown 2.0 stole our freedom like a thief in the night, I had the pleasure of being invited to review Pastaio in Soho. Pastaio, (meaning someone who hand makes pasta), is the brainchild of Stevie Parle, a British chef, restauranteur and food writer whose other projects include Palatino and Craft. There are two Pastaio […]

Humble Grape, Fleet Street

Almost exactly a year on from my last Humble Grape review (go give it a quick read if you haven’t and then hurry back!) I was kindly invited to visit Humble Grape again for a mini wine tasting. Humble Grape is one of my favourite brands, I love everything about it – the ethos, the […]

Six By Nico, Fitzrovia

I suppose it is better (very) late than never, so here is my review of my visit to Six By Nico…finally! If you are an active ‘grammer you will have heard about Six By Nico’s arrival in London. Set to open on 31st March this year, before 2020 took a nosedive, the restaurant was finally […]

Flour & Flowers

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of discovering a hidden gem, a tiny café/bakery/brunch spot/lunch spot/sharing platter spot/wine bar/live music venue that does a lot and does it very very well! Flour & Flowers is on Hackney Road and is a new business that seriously deserves your immediate support (and you can thank […]

Yauatcha City, Broadgate Circle

In August, with the help of Rishi Sunak, I finally tried the food at Yauatcha. I have been to Yauatcha Soho a few times for drinks but bizarrely never actually eaten there so I was really excited. I have been to the fantastic sister restaurant Hakkasan and was totally blown away, you can read my […]

Rosa’s Thai Cafe, Carnaby

Okay so I don’t know if this is just me (let me know in the comments below), but as it starts getting colder and getting darker earlier, I start really craving warming spicy foods with more complexity than the burgers and pizza I’ve been consuming my bodyweight of over the summer. So when I was […]

Chelsea Funhouse

This post is about one of my first dining-out experiences post-Covid 19, and boy did I jump in at the deep end with one of Lollipop’s famously eccentric and unique venues. I was kindly invited to their fabulously quirky venue Chelsea Funhouse for cocktails and delicious award-winning pizza. Strap yourselves in people, it’s a bit […]

Page Common & Page8 Hotel

A couple of weeks BC (before Covid) I was invited for breakfast at Page Common at Page8 Hotel. The first hotel of the Page Hotel group outside of Hong Kong, Page8 boasts a prime location right by tourist hotspot Trafalgar Square at 8 St Martin’s Lane, the ideal location for urban explorers to create their own city break story.
